Jack & Charlie — Release & Waiver of Any & All Legal Liability
By using this platform — whether as a service provider or as someone hiring a service provider — you expressly acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Independent Parties. Jack & Charlie is a networking platform only. It connects individuals seeking services ("Hirers") with individuals offering services ("Providers"). Jack & Charlie is not an employer, staffing agency, or contractor. All service arrangements are made solely between Hirers and Providers as independent parties.
2. No Endorsement or Guarantee. Jack & Charlie does not screen, vet, endorse, recommend, or guarantee any Provider or Hirer listed on this platform. You are solely responsible for performing your own due diligence — including verifying identity, credentials, references, and qualifications — before entering into any service arrangement.
3. Mission & Quality Standards. Jack & Charlie exists to connect neighbors in need with compassionate, skilled service providers — strengthening communities one helping hand at a time. Providers agree to perform all services to the highest standards of quality, care, professionalism, and integrity, honoring the trust placed in them by Hirers and upholding the community-centered values at the heart of Jack & Charlie.
4. Release of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Jack & Charlie, its founders, owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind — whether known or unknown, direct or indirect — arising out of or related to any service arrangement, interaction, or transaction facilitated through this platform. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, property damage, theft, negligence, or any other harm.
5. Assumption of Risk. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with engaging through this platform, including entering the home or property of another person, entrusting your children, pets, or property to a Provider, and performing services in another person's home or property.
6. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jack & Charlie from any claims brought by third parties arising out of your use of this platform or your conduct in connection with any service arrangement.
7. Reservation of Rights. Jack & Charlie reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the access of any user — including Providers and Hirers — who fails to uphold the mission and quality standards set forth above, or whose conduct is inconsistent with the values of the platform. Jack & Charlie may refuse or revoke platform access at any time, without notice, for conduct it deems harmful, unprofessional, or detrimental to the community.
8. Governing Law. This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
